A Family-Owned Real Estate History Since 1946
Croskey Real Estate traces its roots back to 1946, when Western Homes Realty Co. was established in Oakland, California by Murray L. Croskey, known as “Merge,” and his business partner.
In 1961, Merge purchased his partner’s shares and made the company 100% family owned. Decades later, Croskey Real Estate continues that same family-owned tradition while serving property owners throughout Pittsburg, Contra Costa County, and the East Bay.

Murray L. Croskey, “Merge”, and his business partner established Western Homes Realty Co. with the vision of growing a real estate and Insurance business in the San Francisco Bay Area. The office was located at 4319 Grove Street, Oakland 9, CA. Phone number: Olympic 3-4771 Grove St is now known as Martin Luther King Junior BLVD. On September 15, 1961, Western Homes Realty Co. relocated to 5002 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland 9, CA.
